WELCOME to all ABWA Members and Prospective Members! Well the summer season has officially kicked off and with the 4th of July is just a few short weeks away. Just like all of you it is a very busy time for ABWA National and for the National Board. Lots of wonderful changes are going on with our association. First, National has been working really hard on getting our new web site ready to launch. It will give our members and visitors to the site complete information right at their fingertips. Attend the National pre-conference workshop on Thursday, Oct. 2nd with Rene’ to learn more about the new database system.
Second, National and the Board are busy reviewing the scholarship and grants applications for this year. Personally this has been one of the most rewarding duties for me as an officer. It is wonderful to read how the applicants view their goals and plans after they graduate from college and how they plan to make a difference in their communities and for the people who will follow them. And, we are getting ready for our National Leadership Conference on the Southern Side of Cincinnati in Covington, Kentucky - October 2-4, 2008. This year we can choose from 4 different business tracks to manage and empower our lives. Along with the optional events, keynote speakers and entertainment, ABWA National has put together a weekend where you will Engage, Experience and Excel. On behalf of the National Board I would to extend our invitation to you to come along and Roll on the River with us and enjoy this wonderful weekend and experience Southern Hospitality at its best!
