WELCOME to all ABWA Members and Prospective Members! Last year after our District V Spring Conference, I received an e-mail from an ABWA member who had attended her first spring conference; “Since this was my first ABWA conference I was in awe of the programs and the truly amazing women in attendance. I left with a renewed spirit and dedication to making my chapter of ABWA the best it can be.” I too, have the same feeling about our organization, I want to help build a stronger premier women’s organization; encouraging our chapters and networks to implement our Extreme Makeover Series, so we will attract businesswomen from diverse backgrounds. Our members have a lot to be proud of: You are all dedicated to our organization and your communities. They are both better because of each of you. ABWA has the tools we need through education, networking and leadership to keep our members competitive in today’s workforce. Ladies start planning now to attend one of our 2008 Spring Conferences. I encourage all chapters and networks to budget any amount of financial help you can to encourage your members to attend. Set a goal for this next year: Send one, just one more member from you chapter or network to a Spring Conference and to our National Leadership Conference in Covington, KY.
